"Always True"

How would believing God's promises change your life?

What if you believed--truly believed with all confidence--that God is with you?

How would today go for you if you knew without a doubt that God is in control?

What would be different in your life if you were sure God is watching and is good?

What would you risk if you were certain God is victorious?

Ask the greatest Christian you'll ever meet if they hold on to God's promises, and they'll all say "yes."  believing that God will do what He promises leads to a great life.  The greatest Christian you'll ever meet knows, treasures, and is resting in, the promises of God.  They cling to these assurances that God gives his people so they can walk by faith while they wait for Him to work.

So what exactly does God promise?   In this topical study of what will always be true, Pastor James MacDonald will explore five great and precious promises that God keeps.  Enter into this study with anticipation and faith that the God who makes these promises is faithful and true. . . always true.

PASTOR KURT GEBHARDS CALLED TO BEGIN MINISTRY AT HARVEST, HICKORY!

Dear Harvest Family,

I am thrilled to announce that Kurt Gebhards has accepted the call to be the Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel Hickory.  Kurt and his wife, Julie, have a strong sense of God’s call to shepherd this flock.  They look forward to being with you this fall.

As of August 1 (his official start date), Kurt will spend 6-8 weeks in Chicago with the Fellowship. This time will encompass a condensed training in all aspects of Harvest Bible Chapel ministry in preparation for Kurt’s pastoral role, and will also enable him to work intently on your behalf while he is here.

Kurt will visit Harvest Hickory sporadically in August and September and begin preaching on a regular basis in October, when we hope to re-launch the church.  Pulpit leadership will be directed by your elders in the interim.

Last weekend was a real joy.  I would personally commend the entire church for the united way you reached out to Kurt and showed him the great potential Harvest Hickory has in helping to fulfill the Great Commission.

I would also like to thank Pastor Leon, Scott, and the rest of the staff for their tremendous work over the last year.  They have remained focused on the work of the Lord and serving the church through a difficult time.  The Fellowship would especially like to thank Pastor Leon for his steady hand of leadership throughout this season.  He has been a faithful servant in bringing the Word and shepherding the flock.  Thank you, Leon.

So let’s praise the Lord together for His provision of a new senior pastor!  Let us also continue to walk with Christ and work for Christ throughout the summer months as we rejoice with a renewed spirit and anticipation for the ministry season this fall.
